Refund Policy

A full refund within 30 days of your first payment, once per workspace. Last updated August 30, 2026.

The guarantee

Full refund within 30 days of your workspace’s first paid charge. Once per workspace, ever.

1. The 30-day guarantee

If WorkBOS is not for you, tell us within 30 days of your workspace’s first paid charge and we will refund it in full. This is a one-time guarantee per workspace: it covers your first payment, not every payment you go on to make.

It has to be the first charge. If you’ve already paid for several months and change your mind about an earlier one, that month is outside the guarantee. The promise is “try it, and if it’s not for you, get your money back,” not a standing option on any month you later regret.

2. After the 30 days

Once the 30-day window has passed, fees are non-refundable and the term you paid for is served out to its end. Cancelling stops the next renewal from happening; it does not claw back the payment you already made.

3. What the guarantee does not cover

Usage charges are excluded, both inside the 30-day window and after it:

  • Phone minutes and messages
  • AI agent runs
  • Storage
  • Email volume

That money has already been paid out to a carrier or a model provider on your behalf, and cannot be recovered on our side. When you refund a charge that mixes a subscription fee with usage, we refund the subscription portion; the usage portion stands.

4. Downgrades

A downgrade takes effect at your next renewal, not immediately. We don’t refund the unused part of a term you’ve already paid for when you downgrade mid-cycle.

5. Resellers and white-label workspaces

If your workspace was provisioned by a reseller, your refund relationship is with that reseller: you claim against them, under whatever policy they publish, not against WorkBOS. WorkBOS in turn refunds the reseller directly, on the reseller’s own first paid charge, under this same 30-day rule.

6. Your legal rights

Where the law gives you a right beyond what’s written here, the law wins. If you’re a consumer in the UK or EU buying outside your trade or profession, you have statutory withdrawal rights that this policy does not reduce or replace. If you’re buying as a business, those statutory consumer rights don’t apply to you, and this policy is what governs.

7. Chargebacks: ask us first

If a charge looks wrong, email us before disputing it with your bank. We can usually get you a refund faster than a chargeback resolves, and a dispute costs both sides more in fees and time than a direct refund does.

8. How a refund works

  • A workspace owner or admin requests a refund from the Billing page, against a specific charge.
  • The amount is computed by our system from that charge. Nobody types in a number.
  • A person at WorkBOS reviews the request and approves or declines it.
  • On approval, the money is returned through Stripe and a credit note is issued against the original invoice.

Approved refunds go back to your original payment method. From there, the card network takes over: typically 5 to 10 business days, which is outside our control.

9. Contact
