Letting your assistant read another app is not the same job as sending your data out to one. Most catalogues blur the two. This one sorts by how a thing actually connects, and says so on every tile.

Connected Apps opens on an overview: how many apps are connected, anything that needs reconnecting with a one-click fix, and what has synced recently. From there, tabs cover your connections, the app directory, an activity log with CSV export, and (for owners and admins) the rules for who may connect what.
Choose Only me and it is indexed privately: nobody else, not even an admin, can recall it through Chief. Or let an admin share it with the whole team.
Every connected app now checks for updates automatically every 15 minutes, so you do not have to remember to refresh it. Need it sooner? Sync now gives you an instant update.
Event webhooks POST to Slack, Discord, Teams or any endpoint, in that product’s own message format. Inbound bridges accept posts from other tools. There is a GoHighLevel bridge so you can run both without double entry.
A key you issue is READ ONLY by default. You choose read-only or read-and-write when you create it, and you can change an existing key between the two at any time without reissuing it, so a dashboard keeps working while losing the ability to write.
Administration ▸ Developer opens on a dashboard: calls per day, error rate, p95 speed, rate-limit hits, the busiest keys and routes, the slowest routes, recent errors and webhook delivery success, over 7, 30 or 90 days. Every key shows its own call count and last use. The request log keeps the route, status and timing of each call, never its body or the caller’s address.
Point Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor at your workspace and they read it through the same row-level security and role rules a person gets, with a key you can revoke and a workspace-wide kill switch for writes.
The catalogue used to print the length of the list under the word "live", which counted a Zapier recipe the same as a working webhook. Now every tile says how it connects, and if a tile claims we built something there is a file in the codebase that implements it and a test that proves it.
Connect your own Zoho Mail, Fastmail, Google account or any custom-domain mailbox as a sending address, at the workspace level or your own. Type the address and we look up its MX records to fill in the server and port; a host and password work for literally any provider on earth. The address only goes live once we have actually logged into it and sent a real message - never on the strength of a form.
Every address you may send from sits in one list on the Accounts tab of Communication ▸ Email: the ones you have connected yourself and the ones your workspace shares. The address in use is marked and any other confirmed one takes over with a single click, the way accounts switch in a mail app. Which one is in use is read back from where your mail actually goes, so the label cannot drift away from the behaviour.
Whether a member may connect an address of their own is the workspace owner’s switch, and it starts off, so a new workspace sends everything under one shared address until an owner says otherwise. An owner or admin turns it on under Settings, and a second setting decides whether members are limited to a domain the workspace has already proven it owns or may bring any address they can prove is theirs.
The part you would otherwise find out in week three. If one of these is central to how you work, raise it before you buy rather than after.
Direction. Connected Apps is inbound: a one-click OAuth connection that lets Chief READ and cite what is in your other tools. Integrations is outbound: sending your data out or automating it. If you want to authorize an app and go, that is Connected Apps.
Yes. WorkBOS is itself an MCP server, so Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor can read your workspace through the same permissions a person has, with a key the workspace issues and can revoke. Included from Pro upwards, with a kill switch for writes.
A key is read-only by default, and you can flip an existing key between read-only and read-and-write without reissuing it. Keys are stored encrypted server-side and the page shows status, never the value. Per-key rate limits apply.
Yes, through the webhook action on any automation: it POSTs the rule, event and trigger data to any URL you choose. We do not maintain a native Zapier app, and the catalogue says so rather than showing a logo.
Yes. A workspace or an individual member can connect Zoho Mail, Fastmail, Google Workspace or any other mailbox their own host sells them, on their own custom domain. This is separate from Connected Apps: it is about what a message leaves FROM, not about Chief reading your inbox.
Yes. Connect as many as your workspace allows and they all sit together on the Accounts tab of Communication ▸ Email, with the one currently in use marked. Switching to another confirmed address is one click. Switching to one of your own changes it for you; switching to an address your workspace shares changes it for the workspace.
Because your workspace owner has not allowed it yet. Members may not connect an address of their own until an owner turns that on, and it starts off. An owner or admin turns it on in the workspace email settings, and can also decide whether members are limited to a domain the workspace has already verified or may use any domain.
