Check in with one tap and your location is captured automatically, free on every plan; add a workspace policy on Pro and above for verified methods, shifts and lateness grading. A leave request goes to an approver who can already see who else is away before they decide.
Included on every plan, free included
Every check-in and check-out captures your location automatically, notifies your manager, and auto-closes at 00:05 UTC if you forget to check out. This baseline runs on every plan.
Turn on a workspace policy and check-in becomes a choice of allowed methods: GPS held to a geofence, a device passkey using your phone or laptop’s own fingerprint or Face ID, WorkBOS’s own face check-in matched server-side against your enrollment, a wall-mounted ZKTeco-class biometric terminal, or a tablet kiosk at the door.
With a policy and shifts assigned, a punch is graded against shift start plus a grace period, expected hours sit next to hours actually worked, and break minutes are tracked separately.
Request Annual, Sick, Casual, Unpaid or Work From Home leave and the form shows the balance before and after the request, before it is submitted.
The approval queue shows the requester’s reason and who else is away on those same days, lets the approver add a note back to the requester, and can reverse an approved-but-not-yet-started request if plans change.
Hours from time tracking and days from attendance roll straight into "Load active employees" on a pay run, so gross pay is not typed from a second spreadsheet.
The part you would otherwise find out in week three. If one of these is central to how you work, raise it before you buy rather than after.
Free gives everyone one-tap check-in and check-out with their location captured automatically. Pro and above adds a policy layer: a choice of verified methods, geofenced GPS, shifts, lateness grading, and face, passkey or terminal check-in.
Yes. The approval queue shows the requester’s reason plus who else is out on those same days, so a decision is never made blind. An approver can also reverse an approval that has not started yet if plans change.
Yes. Hours from time tracking and days from attendance load straight into a pay run with "Load active employees", so gross figures are not retyped from a separate sheet.
An automatic check-out runs at 00:05 UTC and closes the day, marked Auto rather than a manually closed shift, so a forgotten tap does not quietly inflate the hours on record.
