Group reviews into a named cycle, assign each employee a reviewer, and move every appraisal from Pending through Self review and In review to Completed. The KPI cards total how many are finished and the cycle’s average rating without anyone compiling a spreadsheet.
Enterprise and White-label
Create a cycle such as "H1 2026 Review" with an optional period, and set it Active, Draft or Closed. Every appraisal in that cycle rolls up into the cycle’s own completion count and average rating.
Add an appraisal for an employee, pick who reviews them, and set an overall rating from 0 to 5 plus written feedback.
Move each appraisal from Pending through Self review and In review to Completed, and group the list by status to see what is outstanding at a glance.
KPI cards above the list total how many appraisals exist, how many are completed, how many are still in progress, and the cycle’s average rating.
The employee an appraisal is about, and the reviewer assigned to it, can open and read it. Only an owner, admin or someone with the "Manage performance appraisals" permission can write to it.
The list carries the same CSV export and multi-select bulk delete as every other workspace list, so a manager can archive or hand off a closed cycle’s data without writing SQL.
The part you would otherwise find out in week three. If one of these is central to how you work, raise it before you buy rather than after.
"Self review" is a status a manager or reviewer moves the appraisal into; it is not a separate form the employee fills in. The employee can open their own appraisal and read the rating and summary, but only a manager, owner, admin or someone with the appraisals permission can write to it.
Each appraisal record has exactly one reviewer. For more than one perspective on the same person in the same cycle, add a separate appraisal per reviewer rather than expecting a single 360-style form.
No. Appraisals and compensation are separate records. If a review should change pay, that is a decision and an edit you make on the person’s compensation yourself, not something this page does for you.
Owners, admins, and anyone granted the "Manage performance appraisals" permission. Everyone else, including the employee and their assigned reviewer, can open and read one but not change it.
