Quill underlines spelling slips, grammar slips and words your workspace has banned, in notes, emails, tickets, templates and Drive documents. The underlines are computed in your browser and sent nowhere.

Why this exists
What it does
Notes, templates, sequences, emails, tickets, descriptions and Drive documents, including while somebody else is typing in the same document. Email, URL and code fields are deliberately left alone.
Finish a flagged word and the suggestion appears at the word: Tab takes the top fix and Esc dismisses it. Everything else on the card, including Ignore and Add to dictionary, is reachable from the keyboard.
A workspace dictionary holds your product names, clients and trade words, looked after by owners and admins, and each person keeps a private list of their own.
Your workspace’s banned and preferred terms are underlined with the replacement you chose, alongside spelling and grammar.
For mistakes no single word explains, Quill offers the corrected sentence, and checks its own answer against its grammar rules before showing it. A rewrite that still breaks one is refused.
Spelling, grammar and punctuation are always on. Clarity, engagement and delivery suggestions can each be switched off by an admin for everyone or by you for yourself. Passive voice is off by default.
The honest part
The part you would otherwise find out in week three. If one of these is central to how you work, raise it before you buy rather than after.
Questions
The underlines do not: they are worked out in your browser from a dictionary and rules that ship with the app. Whole-sentence correction does send each finished sentence to the AI provider, and you can switch that part off.
Yes, including while somebody else is editing the same document with you, and in the document templates you send to clients.
For spelling, the word you meant is the first suggestion 86.8% of the time. For grammar on sentences it has never seen, it catches far less, and the documentation publishes that number too.
