Project templates
Project templates let you start a whole project in one click, with a ready-made, professional task plan you can tailor. Find them under Work ▸ Project Templates.
The library ships with 7 built-in starter templates (Website Launch, Client Onboarding, Product Launch, Marketing Campaign, Event Planning, Software Development Sprint and Quarterly Business Review) each with sequenced tasks, priorities and day-offset due dates.
- 1
Start from a template
Open Project Templates, preview a template’s steps, then press “Use this template”. Name the project and pick a start date. The tasks are created with due dates set relative to that start date.
- 2
Tailor it
The new project and its tasks are yours to edit: reassign, reschedule, add or remove tasks like any other project.
- 3
Build your own
Owners and admins can press “New template” to create a custom template: name it, set a category, and add tasks with a priority and a day-offset (how many days after the project start the task is due). Edit or archive your own templates any time from their card.
- 4
Save a project as a template
On any project’s page, owners and admins can press “Save as template” to snapshot that project’s tasks into a new reusable template. Each task’s due-date offset is measured from the project’s start date (or its earliest task).
Creating a project from a template respects your permissions: it uses the same create-project and create-task rights as building one by hand, and only ever creates work inside your workspace. Building, editing and archiving custom templates is restricted to owners and admins and enforced in the database (server-side), not just the UI. Built-in templates are read-only and can never be edited or deleted.
