Activity log

Creates, changes and deletions across your workspace are recorded automatically, with the complete before-and-after of the record it touched. Find it under Administration ▸ Data ▸ Activity log, or on the Audit tab in Settings. Owners and admins only.

  1. 1

    See exactly what changed

Open any row and it lists the fields that actually moved, from what, to what. Fields that change on every save (like the last-modified stamp) are left out so the real change is not buried. Created and deleted records show the full record.

  2. 2

Sort and filter the whole trail

Sort by when, who, action or record. Filter by person, by action, by type of record, by date range, or by whether a person or a system did it. The filter lists cover your entire history, not just the page on screen.

  3. 3

    Search inside the changes

The search box looks inside the recorded values, so you can find the moment a specific price, address, status or name was set, not just events mentioning it by title.

  4. 4

Follow it back to the record

Each row links to the task, project, deal, contact, invoice or company it is about, so an investigation ends on the thing itself rather than on an identifier.

  5. 5

    Export what you filtered

Export gives you every event matching your current filters, not the page you happen to be looking at, with the changed field names and the full before-and-after values.

It always says who. A person is named. An integration says which one, so a change made through the API reads "API key: Zapier" rather than a shrug. A public form or signing link says so. Something the system did to itself says so. Events recorded before August 2026 that carry no actor read "Unattributed", because we would rather say we do not know than guess.

What is covered, stated plainly rather than as “everything”. Recorded today: invoices, payments, bills and bill payments, credit notes, estimates, journal entries, expense claims, payment receipts, payroll runs, payslips and compensation, plus workspace memberships and role definitions, and the work records that were already covered, projects, tasks, leave, CRM companies, contacts and deals, companies, portfolios, teams, risks, ideas and the ledger. Thirty record types in all. It is not yet literally every table, and where a table is not covered we would rather say so than let you assume a record exists that does not. Some are deliberately excluded: anything holding a credential is left out on purpose, because this log copies the whole record and more people can read the log than can read the secret.

The log cannot be edited or deleted by anyone, including workspace owners, that is enforced by the database, not by the screen. An ordinary admin sees their own actions and everybody else’s except the primary owner’s; the primary owner sees all of them.
