Getting help & the Ask assistant

Help is built into the app in three connected ways, all powered by this guide. You are never more than a click from an answer.

  • Contextual "?" linksMost pages show a small "?" next to the title, and tricky fields have their own. Each one jumps straight to the matching section of this guide.
  • Search the guideOpen Guide from the sidebar and type in the search box to filter every section by keyword. Deep links open the exact section: /guide#billing-plans inside the app, /docs/billing-plans on the public documentation site.
  • The Ask assistantThe "Ask" button (part of the floating launcher in the bottom-right corner) opens a chat assistant. Ask a question in plain language and it answers from this guide, with links to the sections it used.
  • Ask Chief from anywhereType 3+ characters into the header search and pick "Ask Chief: …" in the results, or click "Ask Chief" next to the "?" on a page header (Projects, Tasks, CRM, Invoicing, Clients, Leads and more), either pre-fills the Chief panel with your question so you can review it and press Enter to send. From any list, tick one or more rows and click "Ask Chief" in the bulk action bar: the panel opens with those exact records attached as context, so you can ask it to summarise, compare or draft from just what you selected. Nothing is sent until you press Enter. In a task, project or idea, type @Chief in a comment and post it. Chief opens with your question and that record already in context, so you can ask it to summarise, draft a reply or suggest next steps. Nothing is sent until you press Enter, and any change Chief proposes still needs your approval. On a record itself (a deal, an invoice or a task) use the Ask Chief / Draft action (deal next step, invoice payment reminder, task status update) to open Chief with that record in context and a ready-made request. Chief drafts; you review and send, and sending still goes through the normal approval / outbox flow.

Every answer lists the guide sections it came from. Click one to read the complete section here in Docs.

The assistant always answers from the current guide. When a feature changes and this guide is updated, the assistant is instantly up to date too. There is nothing to retrain.

Platform operators: connect an LLM key under Console ▸ AI assistant to make answers conversational. Without a key the assistant still works and returns the most relevant guide section.

Beyond answering, your Chief reads across every module you can see (projects, tasks, CRM, finance, HR, agents and more) always within your own permissions, and can make safe edits for you. Say “set the Q3 report task to In Progress”, “mark that lead as qualified” or “rename the CRM Assistant agent to Accountant” and it applies the change immediately (status, name, priority, due date and similar fields). Money changes, deletes and approvals are never done silently. Those stay behind the proper approval flow.

Chief (reassign & delete, the safe way: ask Chief to reassign a task or deal to a teammate, or to delete a lead, deal or job posting, and it never does it on the spot) it queues the change as an approve-first action in Agent Approvals. Reassignments verify the new owner is a member of your workspace; deletes go to Trash with 30-day recovery, so every one is one-click reversible. Someone with the right permission approves it, and only then does it run, with a full audit trail and rollback. Invoices, credit notes and contracts stay out of this for now.
