Document templates

Build branded, reusable documents once and use them many times: proposals, contracts, agreements, offer letters and emails. Find them under Administration ▸ Templates (owner/admin).

The library ships with 25+ professional, ready-to-use built-in templates across Legal (NDAs, MSA, SOW, Consulting & Contractor agreements, DPA, Terms, Privacy Policy), Sales (proposals, quotes, retainer, change order), HR (offer letters, employment agreement, reference & warning letters), Finance (engagement letter, payment plan, reminders) and Operations (SLA, onboarding, meeting minutes). Built-in templates are marked “Built-in”, are read-only and can never be deleted. Press Customize (or Duplicate) to create your own editable copy.

  1. 1

    Create a template

Templates ▸ New template. Name it, pick a type (Proposal, Contract, Offer letter, etc.), and write the content with the rich-text editor (headings, lists, bold, links).

  2. 2

    Add merge fields

Use “Insert field” to drop tags like {{client_name}}, {{company_name}}, {{amount}}, {{date}}, {{workspace_name}}. The list comes from the product itself rather than from a note in the page, so every screen that offers merge fields offers the same ones. They fill in when you generate a document, and anything the document still cannot fill is listed above the preview instead of being printed with the braces still in it.

  3. 3

    Branded letterhead

Every template previews on your letterhead: your logo, workspace name, address and contact details (from Settings ▸ Profile) appear at the top automatically.

  4. 4

    Reuse

Pick a template whenever you need that document. Keep several per type (e.g. a short and a detailed proposal) for different purposes.

  5. 5

    Archive, don’t delete

Your own templates can be archived (not permanently deleted), so nothing is lost by accident. Built-in templates are always available and cannot be removed.

Set up your business profile and logo first (Settings ▸ Profile) so the letterhead on every document looks right.
