WorkBOS Academy

The Academy is where anyone with a WorkBOS login learns the product module by module: a customer setting up their own workspace, a new hire, or a freelancer who wants to set WorkBOS up for other businesses. Open it from Academy in the sidebar. It belongs to you as a person, not to a workspace, so your progress, your hours and your certificate follow you into every workspace you join, on any plan including free.

• Thirteen modules, one per area of the product: Getting Started, Work and Projects, CRM and Sales, Proposals and Contracts, People and Teams, HR and Recruiting, Invoicing and Billing, Accounting and Reporting, AI Agents and Automation, Marketing and Lead Capture, Support Desk, Administration, and Platform Owner and Reseller. Each module is a run of short video lessons in order, with a written summary and links that open the exact screen the lesson is about in your own workspace.
• Hours are counted from real watching, not from clicking done. While a lesson video is playing in a tab you can see, the player reports every thirty seconds and the Academy credits the time that actually passed, capped so that leaving a tab open, speeding through, or replaying a lesson cannot inflate it: never more than the lesson is long, never more than twelve hours in one day. Your dashboard shows your total verified hours and what was credited today.
• The first pass goes in order. Before your first lesson you agree to the fair-play rules. Lessons then open one after another within a module, and every module after Getting Started opens once Getting Started is finished. On the first pass the player will not skip ahead (rewinding is always fine), playback is capped at 1.5x, the video pauses if you hide the tab, and only one tab or device counts at a time. A lesson you have completed is open for good, at any speed, in any order.
• Now and then the video pauses and asks "still with me?"; tap and it continues. Some lessons ask a quick question about what you just watched; two wrong answers send you back a minute to the part that explains it. A lesson is complete once ninety percent of it has been covered, the end reached and every prompt answered. There is no Mark as done button.
• Each module ends with a short check, which opens once every lesson of the module with a recording is complete. Every attempt is its own paper: twelve questions drawn at random from a bank of at least thirty, with the choices shuffled, fifteen minutes on the clock, and your answers saved as you give them (if the time runs out, what you have answered is handed in). You see your score at once, never the answers; a check you did not pass names the topics to revisit and the lesson to rewatch. A second attempt opens after twelve hours, and at most three attempts count in any seven days.
• The certificate has a final exam, which opens only once every other requirement is met: forty questions drawn from a bank of at least a hundred and twenty, an hour on the clock, and an honour pledge before the first answer. Afterwards you see a score by area, not the answers; twelve hours between attempts and at most two in any thirty days. The Academy records how an attempt was sat (a very fast finish, the tab lost or hidden for long spells, pasted text) and a person looks at anything that stands out before it counts towards a certificate; if that was you working normally, there is nothing to do.
• The Academy writes down what it refused or noticed: a jump ahead, a second device, an ignored prompt. One slip means nothing; a pattern is reviewed by a person, and the fair-play rules say what follows: a warning, then a month away, then the certificate. • Team view: owners and admins of a workspace on a plan that includes the Academy team view can see, for their own teammates, which modules were finished, how many verified hours were logged and who holds a certificate. It reads the same ledger; nothing is entered by hand.
• The public catalogue on the website lists the same modules and lessons, so a prospect or a freelancer can see the whole path before signing up. Learning, hour tracking, quizzes and certificates need a sign-in.
