Marketing settings
Marketing ▸ Marketing Settings holds what every campaign needs: the service that sends it, the domain it comes from, your postal address and footer, the topics people can choose between, and your email brand. Owners and admins can change these; everyone else can see them.
- 1
Sending
Connect Resend (recommended: paste an API key) or any other service that offers SMTP, such as Amazon SES, SendGrid, Mailgun, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or Zoho. Then press Send a test. Your key is stored encrypted, is never shown again (only its last four characters), and is used only by the sending service. With Resend, WorkBOS also registers a webhook in your Resend account so bounces and spam reports come back and those contacts are marked automatically; if your key cannot create one, the screen shows how to add it by hand in Resend (add a webhook, paste the address shown, tick the delivered, bounced and complained events) and where to paste its signing secret. Plain SMTP services cannot report bounces back. Optionally set a daily sending limit: Google Workspace allows about 2,000 emails a day and Microsoft 365 about 10,000, so set it a little under yours and a large send is spread over several days instead of being refused.
- 2
Domain
Type the domain you send from and press Check my domain. We look up its SPF, DKIM and DMARC records and show each one as found or missing, with the exact record to add at your domain provider and a Copy button. Gmail, Yahoo and Outlook reject bulk email from domains without these records.
- 3
Address and footer
Your postal address is required in every marketing email and campaigns cannot be sent without it. Add optional footer text and the default From name, From address and Reply-to address.
- 4
Topics
Topics let people choose what they hear about instead of unsubscribing from everything, for example Newsletter, Offers and Events. Pick a topic on a campaign and anyone who has left that topic is skipped.
- 5
Brand
Your logo (upload it or paste its address), button and link colour, email background colour and font. Every new email starts from these.
Gmail and Microsoft 365 accounts limit how many emails a day they will send, so they suit small lists only. For anything larger, use a sending service such as Resend or Amazon SES.
