Chief drives the app

Ask Chief to open a record or start a new one and it takes you there and fills in what you told it, on your screen, exactly as if you had typed it. "Open the client Acme and change its phone to +1 555 0100" opens Acme in the Clients editor with the new number already in the Phone box. "Go to leads and start a new lead for Jane at Northwind" opens the New lead form with the name filled in.

• It never presses Save, Delete, Send, Pay or Approve for youChief prepares the form and then stops. The panel says "Waiting for you to press Save", and nothing changes until you press it. If you close the form instead, nothing was changed.
• It only sees what you can seeChief works inside your own session. A page you cannot open, a record you cannot read or a field you cannot edit is out of its reach too, and it says so instead of pretending.
• Where it can goClients, Leads, Projects, Tasks, Vendors, Deals and Contacts, Invoices and Employees. It opens a record by name (Chief looks the record up first) or the "new" form for that module.
• What it cannot doMoney changes, approvals, sending messages, deleting or archiving anything. It cannot press buttons on pages it has not opened, and it will not fill a field it cannot find on the screen; each step is reported in the panel so you can see what happened.
