Chief runs the business day

When you switch it on, Chief runs your working day with your AI team: it plans the morning, hands out the jobs, follows up at midday and tells you at the end of the day what got done. It lives on the Chief today page in the Agents menu. It is off until an owner or admin switches it on for the workspace.

• MorningAt the morning time you choose (08:00 to start with), Chief looks at what is due and what is waiting, and hands up to 3 jobs to your AI heads of department. A head can pass a job on to the specialists in its team. You see all of it on the page as a tree: Chief, then each head, then each specialist, with every reply and where each job stands.
• MiddayAt the midday time (13:00 to start with) Chief looks at jobs nobody has replied to for three hours and tries them once more. If any of your AI team’s suggestions have waited three hours or more for your decision, you get one reminder. The midday check uses no AI credit.
• End of the dayAt the evening time (17:30 to start with) you get one short report: what was handed out, done, declined, left undone or failed, and what it cost. Jobs still open are marked as not done today. The report also appears at the bottom of the page, and the end-of-day check uses no AI credit either.
• LimitsEach day Chief hands out at most 3 jobs, the AI team does at most 6 runs and spends at most $0.50 of AI credit for the business day, to start with. An owner or admin can raise these to 3 jobs, 10 runs and $5 a day, or lower them. When a limit is reached nothing more is handed out until the next day, and the page says so. Weekdays only is on to start with; switch it off to run every day. The times follow the owner’s time zone.
• Approvals have not changedEverything your AI team wants to do still waits for a person, exactly as before. The Needs you card on the Chief today page lists the day’s suggestions with Approve and Reject, the work that did not succeed and the jobs that were declined. Approving there is the same as approving on the Approvals page: it needs the Approve agent actions permission, and the Autonomy dial still decides what may ever run on its own.
