Expert skills: a CFO, a lawyer, a marketer and hundreds more for your assistant and AI team
AI Team ▸ Expert skills is the library of expertise your assistant and your AI employees work with: more than 400 skills such as a CFO, a chartered accountant, a contract reviewer, a CMO, an SEO specialist, a payroll specialist, a restaurant manager and a dental practice manager. Each one describes how that professional works: their methods, the checks they make before answering, and the limits they keep.
- Automatic: every skill that is on is available to your assistant. For a question that asks for a professional’s judgement (“should we raise our prices”, “review this NDA”, “how do I handle a late employee”) it picks the one or two that fit, before it answers, and the answer says which skill it used. A question that looks something up, opens a page, creates something or just chats gets no skill at all, so “who joined this week” is answered from your data, not by an HR expert. Choosing takes well under a millisecond, so a big library does not make answers slower.
- Choose the expert yourself: start a question with “As a CFO, …” or “As our contract reviewer, …”, or press Ask as this expert on any skill.
- High-stakes questions: a legal, tax, money, employment or safety skill sends the question to the stronger AI model your workspace uses for harder work. These skills give general information and say when to involve a licensed professional.
- Give skills to an AI employee: open the employee in AI Team and choose up to 12 skills on its Profile tab, or ask your assistant: “create a CFO agent with the chartered accountant skill”. When you hire from a template, the closest skill to its job title is picked for you.
- Switch skills off: owners and admins can switch any skill off for the whole workspace on the Expert skills page; your assistant and your AI team then stop using it.
- Nothing is sent, paid, published or deleted because of a skill: every action still asks you first, exactly as before.
