Marketing Home
Email marketing is switching on for workspaces gradually. If Marketing Home, Contacts, Segments, Email Campaigns and Marketing Settings are not in your Marketing menu yet, they appear by themselves when it reaches your workspace; there is nothing to set up or buy.
Marketing Home is the first screen under Marketing. It answers four questions at a glance: how big is my audience and is it growing, how did my recent emails do, what is going out next, and does anything need fixing before I can send.
- Needs your attention: anything that would stop a campaign going out (no sending service connected, no postal address, a sending service that failed its last test, a campaign paused because the month’s allowance ran out), each with a link to the place that fixes it.
- The numbers: subscribed contacts and how many joined in the last 30 days, emails sent, open rate, click rate, form submissions and social posts published in the last 30 days. Each tile opens its screen.
- Audience growth over the last 30 days, with the number of people who unsubscribed beside it.
- Recent email campaigns with their open and click rates, and what is coming up: scheduled emails and scheduled social posts, in your local time.
- Usage: contacts and marketing emails this month against what your plan includes.
- Create: start an email campaign, a social post, a segment or a form, or import contacts, from one menu.

1. Connect your sending service
Marketing ▸ Marketing Settings ▸ Sending. Campaigns go out through your own email sending service, so they arrive from your own domain and your reputation stays yours. Add your postal address on the Address and footer tab: the law in most countries requires it in every marketing email, and we will not send without it.

2. Add your contacts
Marketing ▸ Contacts. Import a spreadsheet, add people one by one, or bring in everyone from your CRM. Say how each person came to be on your list: they agreed to hear from you, or they are existing customers or recent enquiries you may email where the law allows it. Nobody else is emailed.

3. Create your first email
Marketing ▸ Email Campaigns ▸ New email. Start from a template, describe it and let AI draft it, or start blank. Check the review list, send yourself a test, then send or schedule.
Who sees what: marketing contacts and campaigns belong to your workspace and nobody else can read them. Owners, admins and members can work on them; viewers can look; guests see nothing. Under Roles & permissions each marketing page can be hidden from a role, and the database then refuses that role’s changes on it (creating, editing and deleting). Hiding a page is not a wall around reading: anyone in the workspace who is not a guest can still look a contact up, for example by asking the assistant.
