Numbers & codes

Numbers & codes is where you keep the phone numbers your business owns as assets: toll-free numbers, vanity numbers that spell a word (1-800-FLOWERS), # codes people dial on their mobile (#7734), short codes, and local or international numbers. It records what each one costs, what you have paid so far, when it renews, who controls it and what it is used for.

  1. 1

    Add a number

Press Add number and fill in the number, its type, the carrier, and for toll-free numbers the RespOrg (the company that controls where the number rings). Add how often you are billed and how much, the company it belongs to, what it is used for and where it routes to.

  2. 2

    Record payments

Open a number and add each payment in the Payments card. Paid so far is the total of those payments, kept by WorkBOS, so it is always a figure somebody recorded rather than a guess.

  3. 3

    Keep an eye on spend

The tiles at the top show how many numbers you hold, what they cost per month and per year, what you have paid in total and which renew in the next 30 days. Usage-billed numbers are counted at the average of their last three months of payments.

These are the numbers you own. The numbers your team answers in the Phone system live under Phone; a number can be in both.
